OUR STORY

The 24th of February 2016 we in the Erasmus+ project visited an IKEA store in Sweden.

The Erasmus project is an international exchange between Sweden, The Netherlands, Scotland and Germany. We are in this project to find out more about working opportunities for students in different countries.

When we visited IKEA we first got a presentation from the storemanager about what IKEA stands for and what they are doing. In the presentation we learned about IKEA`s values and their foundation which helpes children and women create a better future for themselves and their families.

After that we went on a tour behind the scenes and we got to see where the products arrive and where they fix returned or broken packages. We also got to go on a tour in the store where we talked to one of the saleswomen and she told us about what it´s like to work at IKEA and climb your way up to become a manager.

We found the visit very interesting and we found out that there were alot more to IKEA then what you just can see in the store.
